Cheryl and Alvin were married on 8/8/08– a ceremony in San Diego with only their immediate family in attendance. We documented the customary Chinese Wedding Tea Ceremony and the reception at the Double Tree Hotel in Orange County last weekend.
As we entered the home where the tea was being held, we were surrounded with a “full-house” of family members. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure out that family holds a great importance to Cheryl and Alvin and visa versa. Everyone was so attentive to the newly weds that not one detail was missed. Maybe that explains why I’ve never seen a groom so lovingly focused on his bride as Alvin was, which you will witness in some of the following images.
Kudos to Cheryl and her sister for beautifully designing, decorating, and assembling the table accoutrements, they are a gifted duo! Same goes to Alvin’s 3 brothers who seemed to be at every turn taking care of every little detail– you can tell that they really love the couple and wanted everything to be perfect for them. Truly Alvin & Cheryl’s family and friends made this occasion a super CELEBRATION! We were blessed to be a part of it!
A peak at the day’s happenings below, see the SLIDESHOW for more!

Looking like a “weirdie”, a man walked by and I blurted, “Why yes! I am taking a picture of myself!” LOL, well who else will if not I? Yes, I have fun at weddings!
