- Thanks everyone for your kind comments. Sarah – Please ask any time... there's nothing new under the sun :) 5D Mark II 85mm 1.8 lens ISO 2000 NO flash 1/500 sec at f/3.2 I metered on the cutie up front and usually underexpose at least 1 stop because as you know theater lighting is not only all over the place but can be really harsh if subject is directly underneath it. I shoot mostly on manual and just crank up the ISO (very little noise even at ISO 6400). I used to use the 5d and there's a huge difference between the 5d and 5d Mark II. Something I notice mostly in my theater work. I also shoot in raw whenever it's low light. I have to give credit to the 85mm 1.8 as well. It's my favorite lens to use especially in low light at receptions and such. In natural light talk about buttah on that lens!!! I've compared the 3x more expensive 85 1.2 and it's slower so it's the 1.8 for me!
