“Keeping it Simple”: A New Workshop

Before I get to the heart of this post, a quick note:

Last night after I got home from shooting a wedding I was minding my own business, happily surfing the net, for what, I can’t even remember, and I happened across this article that names me one of the Top 5 Photographers near Colton California. Ha! I have no idea who, what, and the wherefores but hey, I’ll take the credit! Seriously, I didn’t know I was being featured but apparently the writer has found my site and thoroughly went through my bio etc. and reported on it. Today, Top 5 Photographers near Colton, next the Top 5 in the world! hahahaha. Here’s the link if you want to check it out.

Alrighty! Without further ado… I am excited to announce that I am now offering workshops/mentorship programs. Check out the info below and give me a call, thanks!

*** Added: I have had a couple of inquiries from out of town/state– I’m available to mentor through iChat, Skype, or email as well.

p.s. This is not just for professionals, hobbyists and those thinking about getting into the business of photography can definitely benefit.

About me: I have always documented “life as it happens” through photographs but it wasn’t until in the late summer of 2006 did I delve into dslr’s. Borne out of the frustrations of not being able to “get the shot” of my kid’s performances, I vowed to learn the ins and outs of the camera even if  it meant reading the camera manual. January of 2007 I was commissioned for my first gig photographing a musical group for a cd cover. I vowed not to ever do weddings but by that summer, within a 4 month time frame, I found myself 2nd shooting 17 weddings with 5 different photographers, after that, it has been one fun ride!

Although I do not proclaim to know everything about photography, I have learned a lot, know what works for me, and can help others “get that shot”.
