Record planning, 6 days prior to we decided to have a Christmas Open House which was held this past Sunday. With the help of facebook, internet, and texting we invited peeps to come to the open house to fellowship, worship, and just plain have some fun with friends, old and new. It was a nice turn out considering there wasn’t much notice– sorry guys! I’m still not over the wonderful worship time that we had, it was absolutely awesome. Thank you to all who graced us with your presence. Special thanks to Robert Sanchez for leading us in the worship, Eric Bishop accompanying Robert on bongos, Jeremy Yeo and Krista Curtis for their duets (piano & cello). This is what Christmas is really about, spending time worshiping the Lord and being with friends and family. Thanks to all who came and for those who weren’t able to make it we missed you. Until next year!
p.s. I got this idea from our koinonia at women’s study… we asked each family to fill up ziplock bags with goodies, list of shelters, and a gospel tract to keep in their car. These are for the “homeless” that we see in the street corners and freeway exits. Many times if you’re like me you’re unsure of just handing them money because you’re not certain what they will use the money for– I’ve been had a few times. This way you are providing them nourishment not only for their bodies but also for their souls. I wanted to share this because maybe this is something you might want to put together and keep stashed in your car just for that perfect opportunity.
God Bless you all and Merry, Merry CHRISTmas! Isaiah 9:2-7
