As I was editing Melissa and Adam’s images, I couldn’t help but smile at the remembrance of our day as we shot in and around Laguna Beach. Melissa and her family vacationed in Laguna yearly as she grew up and so it holds a special place in her heart. The morning started with a little drizzle as I left the IE but once I got to Laguna it was clear, sunny, and just gorgeous. We started shooting right outside the parking structure where we parked our vehicles, continued down alleys, sidewalks, and the beach, stopping as I saw something that looked like a good backdrop.
Engagement sessions are important because it’s a time where I can really get to know the couple and see what they can tolerate from me… so come wedding day they can be well prepared, fully armed, and well, basically, used to having me around. My first warning to Melissa and Adam was that I’m a close shooter, they didn’t cringe too much so I think they did okay with it. I hope you guys had as much fun as I did, thanks for trusting me with my silly ideas. High five! I think we done good! BTW, by the end of my post processing I had this strong urge to go to RiteAid… you’ll see, take a gander at the SLIDESHOW
